Day of Mindfulness Practice and Enquiry on Saturday 30th November from 09h00 for 09h30 start to 16h30, at the Schoenstatt Retreat &Training Centre, Constantia


This day is open not only to previous graduates but also to those who want to experience a day of mindfulness with us. We often have requests to bring friends and family members so this is an opportunity to do so and for them to get a taste of mindfulness.

We will explore all the practices that are a part of mindfulness based interventions, including sitting meditation, body scanning, mindful walking, as well as dialogue and exploration into the experience of practice. We will also enjoy some extended yoga and movement practices and of course we will have time for a delicious bring-and-share mindful lunch. 

This is an opportunity  to take time out of the busy-ness of life and to reconnect with the practice of mindfulness as a way of holding us steady through the ups and downs of life. It is also a space for those new to the practice to have an experiential taste of this approach to cultivating mindfulness.

A day spent intentionally cultivating attention and kindness to ourselves is a day well spent.

Please remember to bring a blanket, yoga mat and cushion, as well as something lacto-vegetarian to share for lunch (no eggs, fish, meat or chicken).

Wear comfortable clothing and don’t forget hats and sunscreen for time outdoors.

We will be charging R300 per person for this day and payment can be via EFT (see bank details below) or cash at the door. Please note we do not have credit card facilities.

Directions from CT City Centre to Schoenstatt Retreat and Conference Centre3 Schoenstatt Avenue, Constantia, Cape Town, 7806.

Take N2, M3 and Constantia Rd/Constantia Main Rd/M41 to Constantia.  
Roughly 21 min (17.9 km)

From CT City Centre, head southeast on Darling Street toward Parade Street. 
Turn left onto Castle Street. 
Turn right onto Newmarket Street. 
Use the left lane to merge onto N2 via the ramp to Muizenberg. 
Keep right at the fork to continue on De Waal Drive, follow signs for M3/Muizenberg. 
Continue onto M3. 
Keep right to continue on Paradise Road/M3. 
Continue to follow M3.
Keep right to continue on Edinburgh Drive/M3, follow signs for Muizenberg. 
Take exit 14 for M41/Constantia Main Road toward Hout Bay/Constantia. 
Turn left onto Constantia Rd/Constantia Main Rd/M41.
